1. GCSE Music - practical performing editions GCSE music, practical performing editions. The current Edexcel GCSE music examination syllabus contains a wide range of music for study and analysis, but until now there have been no practical performing editions available of these titles for use in schools.
We are delighted, therefore, to publish ensemble editions of the three syllabus works from the Classical period. All three titles are supplied complete with score and parts, with several practical instrumental alternatives (e.g. violin III instead of viola) included as well.
Core repertoire in editions which give almost all GCSE students a chance to experience the music from the performer's point of view.
These new editions will provide an ideal way to give GCSE students valuable first hand experience of the music from the performers' point of view, and will enable music teachers to mount performances without the expense and effort of gathering full orchestras and/or choirs.
